Re: [ultralightbiking] California Coast

Nice setup dude.

How much does it weigh?

Nice touch with the sleeping pat on the top tube.

I've been wanting to do more touring with my road bike but we're past bivy season and into tent season.

My tent (an MSR fling) is roughly the size of my bivy if I can strap my tent poles to the top of the top tube.

Would love to see your gear list.

BTW, don't velcro straps rule?

I just came back from a 600 mile bike tour along the California Coast, from San Francisco south, and posted some pictures.  It was just a 4 day weekend trip, but really nice.

FYI I put together a video gear list. My gear weight is between 20 and 25lbs so I'd describe it as lightweight rather than ultralight. I see a lot of frame...

BTW, you could make better use of your handlebars by using a stuff sack and hanging some gear from your aero bar. (that is an aerobar right?) -Mike On Wed, Aug...

I can't believe you have a dynamo front hub on what is essentially a time trial bike, let alone that you're touring with it. :) How about did you end up with a...

Hi Mike,   I didn't weigh everything so I can't tell you exactly how much it weighed, but I would venture to say that the bike was about 18 to 19 lbs with the...

Hi Adrian, that is great setup and a great tour. I don't ride at night if I don't have to, but your setup with the dynamo hub gave me a whole different...

That's a good point, I didn't even think of that.  The plus for me is that I didn't have to camp because it got dark, I could continue on and listen to the...
