I remember seeing some photos of Jeff's (Carousel Design) bike in which he ran the cables over the bar as opposed to under the bar so the bag didn't interfere with the cables. The Tour Divide riders that have been through haven't been doing this though. Just an idea for anyone having issues using a flat bar if cable routing is an issue. It probably will mean running longer cables though.

I used a CDW bag for the divide last year but it was on a Mary bar. However I am now running it on a bar with very little rise (syntace vector low rise) but 12 degres of sweep and it works great. The only thing to be mindful of is cable routing which was better on the Mary because of the angles. Also, jeff does custom, so whatever your need, I'm sure he can make it work.
