The frame and the rider are 'sprung'. The wheels and the part of the suspension that moves with the wheels are the unsprung part. Actually they are very slightly sprung, due to deflection of the tires. In the case of a rigid fork, the tires are the only spring, and so adding those bottles to the rigid fork is probably OK if it doesn't disturb the steering. The Minoura part in the Nashbar link won't work with front suspension, I expect. It looks like the part that goes around the frame or whatever won't fit something as fat as the lower part of a suspension fork. My $0.02, Erik
