Trying to get some friends together to play Saturday 8/1. It would either be
the field by 121 Fitness or in Spitler Woods. That's all the details at the
moment, just trying to gauge interest.
Yeah, it's gotten to the point where there's enough light in the
evening for Thursdays to be do-able, I'm planning on being there this
Thursday after I get off work.
I set up the group calendar to shows the days and times:
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/ultimatedecatur/cal
Hopefully we can scrounge up some good numbers this summer. Forecast
shows possible rain this Thursday but as long as it's not pouring I'd
like to get out and throw. Hope to see some of you guys out there
again.
Definately, although lately it's been pretty quiet. A lot of people
that I've talked to always sound interested in playing but then I never
hear back from them. I haven't been available recently because my wife
is recovering from some c-section complications but I definately want
to get out an play. I think it's gotten to the point where Thursdays
are do-able as well with enough light in the evening.
I'm scheduled to work the next 3 Sunday's unfortunately. In the
meantime I'm still going to try to get some more people involved in the
group. Hope to play again in a couple weeks!
I will run past at 1, and will stop to play if anyone is around.

I'd be all over that if I didn't have to work. Fortunately it's the
last Sunday I'll have to work for the next four weeks, so I'll
definately be out next weekend barring any natural disasters :)
I need to re-email the guys at Millikin to see if I can get some signed
up for the group or at least interested in playing before classes let
out for the summer.
Hope you can get something going tomorrow.

Unfortunately I won't be there this afternoon either! I just got back into town a few minutes ago and have a number of things to take care of before starting another week. I plan to be there next Sunday though!

I'm working nights this weekend and won't be able to make it out to
Fairview. I'm still trying to get some people signed up to the

Had a nice first outing with myself, Tom, Brian, and Andy showing up to
throw around for a bit and play a little game of hotbox. We figured
that we'll just keep the same schedule as in the past. We're skipping
this weekend due to Easter and will hold off on Thursdays until it
stays light a bit longer in the evening; but the plan is to play
Sundays at 1 and Thursdays at 6.
Show up at either of those times and hopefully there'll be some action.
Playing by the dog park in Fairview seemed to work out just fine,
although the benches and shade tree are now a part of the enclosed area.
If you can recruit some more people that would like to play on a
regular basis, the more the merrier. Since I graduated from Millikin I
figured I'd try to invite some guys from the fraternity that I belong
to. They just got back from spring break so hopefully we'll pick up
some new group members in the next week.
Thanks again to those that have signed up, I hope to keep this page
active with updates, pictures, and whatnot.
Kiwanis is the green rectangle at the lower left of the picture. If
you follow Redwood south until it ends at Forest there is a parking lot.
Fairview at 1 sounds fine, I'll have an orange shirt on.

I'll be there! (Might be a few minutes late, but I'll show up.) Not
sure where Kiwanis Park is, but if I can't find it all give a call.

If you check the photo section here in the group, I put up a little
picture of the Google Map view of Fairview Park with the field circled.
Basically as you enter Fairview take the one-way road right and follow
that past the skate park. At the stop sign take a right and drive
underneath the bike path. The field is down a little ways on the left.
However, Tom told me that particular area of Fairview might not be open
until April 1st. In that case Kiwanis Park would be good for a back-up.
If anyone wants to get a hold of me tomorrow my cell # is 433-0264

I am know where Fairview is, but I am only vaguely familiar with how
it is laid out. Where is the field?
Also, Kiwanis park is usually open, and not too far away. That might
be a good back-up location.
Supposed to be a nice day w/o much wind, time is negotiable. Just
wanted to throw it out there since spring is in the air and I'm getting
that itch to throw :-)
If we only get a few people we could just toss for a bit or play
something like "Hot Box".
Either way, I'll be out there just to check out the field since I
haven't been out there now that the dog park has been installed. I
imagine there's still plenty of room for a frisbee field.
Thanks to everyone whose joined up so far, once things warm up we'll
get the ball rolling. If you know anyone else who would/might be
interested in playing just send them a link to this group. I'll try to
keep things up-to-date.
Let the good time roll!
