LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO---The United Hockey League (UHL)
announced Monday that Missouri River Otters right wing
Charlie Blyth has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of
the Week and Fort Wayne Komets goaltender Kevin St.
Pierre has been named UHL Goaltender of the Week for
the period ending Sunday, November 23, 2003.
Blyth completed the fifth week of the season
registering eight points (3g, 5a) and a plus-four
rating in four games. He opened the week dishing out
two assists in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to the Fort Wayne
Komets. The following evening, Blyth recorded two
goals, including the game winner in the River Otters
first victory of the season (7-4 over the Muskegon
Fury). The 27-year-old Beaconsfield, Quebec native
tallied two points (1g, 1a) in Friday's 4-2 win over
the Rockford IceHogs and extended his point-scoring
streak to five games with two assists in Sunday's 4-2
loss to the Quad City Mallards. Blyth currently leads
all Missouri scorers with 16 points (8g, 8a) in 16
games played.

wing Greg Koehler, Flint defenseman Sylvain Dufresne,
Fort Wayne left wing Bobby Stewart, Kalamazoo
defenseman Guy Dupuis, Muskegon right wing Robin
Bouchard, Port Huron left wing Brent Gretzky, Quad
City right wing Steve Gibson, Richmond center Kevin
St. Jacques and Rockford forward Dale Junkin.
St. Pierre finished the fifth week of the season
posting a 3-0-0 record, a 1.67 goals against average
(GAA) and a .940 save percentage (SPCT). After
starting his ninth professional season on the injured
reserve, St. Pierre has won four of his five starts.
He opened the week turning away 24-of-26 River Otters'
shots in Wednesday's 6-2 victory and earned his third
victory of the season in Friday's 3-2 win over the
K-Wings. The 28-year-old Sherbrooke, Quebec native
extended his winning streak to four games with a 2-1
victory over the Stars on Saturday to complete the
week. St. Pierre currently ranks fourth among UHL
netminders with a 2.40 GAA.
