Flint Generals Press Release

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League announce
the signing of veteran right wing Kevin Kerr along with newcomers
right wing Dallas Anderson and left wing Justin Ossachuk for the 2003-
2004 hockey season. In keeping with club policy, terms of the
agreement shall not be disclosed.

Kevin Kerr officially returns to the Flint Generals for a third time
in his professional career. The 35 year old native of North Bay,
Ontario holds Generals records for most goals scored (326), game
winning goals (46), and most penalty minutes (1292), most short-
handed goals (22), most hat tricks (27) and most shots (1696). Kerr
is 3rd among all-time team leaders in assists (277), 2nd in points
(603) and 2nd in the plus/minus (+85). Kerr is also the team's all-
time playoff scoring leader (43-40-83) appearing in 55 games. Kerr
was named the UHL's Most Valuable Player (1994) and was the 4-time
team M.V.P (1994-97).

Kerr was a member of the Colonial Cup Champion Flint Generals (1996)
and made 3 consecutive trips to the Championship Finals with the
Generals (1996, 97 & 98) and 5 consecutive overall as he appeared in
the finals as a member of the Quad City Mallards (1999 & 2000). Kerr
enjoyed a career best 125 points (72-53) in the 1996-97 season. His
72 goals were also a career high and still a Generals record for most
goals scored in one season. Kerr is on the verge of establishing the
minor hockey league record for most career goals scored and could
establish that mark this season. Kerr is currently second in all-
time career goals scored (640). Former IHL'er Scott Gruhl (Saginaw
Gears, Muskegon Lumberjacks) is the all-time leader in goals scored
with 663.

"To have Kevin Kerr back in a Generals uniform is great for our
franchise and the fans," said Vice President & Head Coach Robbie S.
Nichols. "He has provided this organization and the league with some
of the most exciting and emotional games ever played. He still is a
dangerous offensive weapon that will be a potent threat any place and
any time. Kevin is very recognizable throughout our community,"
continues Nichols. "He always has taken the time to give back to
many different civic groups and organizations throughout his career.
Kevin provides us with the character, the heart, the leadership and
intensity that will bring the best out of everyone. He is a fierce
competitor and we are pleased to have Kevin back where he belongs."

Right wing Dallas Anderson, 24, joins the Generals after spending all
or parts of the last three seasons with the Central League's Tulsa
Oilers. The rugged 6'7" native of Bowsman, Manitoba enjoyed a career
best 30 points (19-11) and 378 penalty minutes in the 2002-2003
season. Dallas will be attending training camp with the Edmonton
Oilers of the National Hockey League.

"I am very excited about signing Anderson," said Nichols. "His
offensive numbers prove that he has a nose for the net and will score
some goals. He also provides a physical presence and will be an
intimidating force. He will answer the bell if play becomes a bit
rough. We will be able to use his size to our advantage in key
situations. He is a tough customer who comes to play every night."

Left wing Justin Ossachuk signs on with the Generals after spending
the last two years as a teammate of Dallas Anderson with the Tulsa
Oilers. Ossachuk enjoyed a career high 26 goals in 55 games with the
Oilers last season. Ossachuk is no stranger to the rough stuff with
553 penalty minutes in 108 professional games.

"We are looking for big things from Ossachuk," said Vice President &
Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. He is a tough nosed, rugged winger
who is not afraid to mix it up in the corners. He certainly does
have the capability to be an impact player for us. We will need him
to step up at both ends of the ice and be that solid player we think
he can be."

In related team news, the Generals have signed Kevin Kaczmerek as the
team's Strength Training and Conditioning Coach for the 2003-2004
season. This will mark the 10th season of service with the Generals
for Kazcmerek, whom is nationally recognized as one of the top
Strength and Fitness Coordinators in the nation. He owns and
operates Grand Blanc Court and Fitness Center, located at 2308 E.
Hill Rd. in Flint.

"I had Kevin Kaczmerik work with me during my 4 previous seasons as
the Flint Coach", said Nichols. "Kevin does an excellent job having
the team in the best physical condition as possible."

The Flint Generals return to action with two pre-season games on
Friday, October 17, 2003 versus Muskegon Fury at 7:30 p.m. and
Sunday, October 19, 2003 versus Port Huron at 4:00 p.m. The regular
season home opener is Friday, October 24, 2003 versus Port Huron at
7:30 p.m.
