Port Huron, MI - The Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League
(UHL) announce the signing of right-winger Samuel St. Pierre and
center Ian Jacobs.

St. Pierre has agreed to terms with the Beacons for the 2003 - 2004
season. He spent most of last season playing for the Johnstown Chiefs
of the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League). While with the Chiefs, St.
Pierre earned 23 goals, 35 assists, and 38 penalty minutes. This 24
year-old native of Laurierville, Quebec was also drafted during the
1997 NHL Draft in the 7th round, 185 overall by the Tampa Bay
Lighting.

Ian Jacobs returns to the Beacons after completing the season with
three goals and two assists as a defensemen. This native of Walpole
Island, Ontario played defense for Port Huron last season, but will
start out the season as a forward. Head Coach Bruce Ramsay stated
that Jacobs will probably play forward this season, but may use him
on the blue line in some situations.

The Beacons take the ice at home on Saturday October 25, 2003 at 7:05
