Fort Wayne Komets
==========================================================
The United Hockey League might play with 10 teams next season, and
the Fort Wayne Komets will probably be in the Eastern Division. Most
UHL owners are preparing for their meetings in Las Vegas starting
next Wednesday. Others are likely preparing to suspend operations
for at least a year in New Haven, B.C. and Port Huron. Asheville and
Knoxville have already left the league.
That means only Elmira and Adirondack remain in the East.
One potential East Division setup could have those teams, along with
the Komets, Flint and expansion Canton. Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Quad
City, Rockford and Missouri could form the West Division.
(Note: Canton is already -- and officially -- dead for the season.)
Reconfigured UHL could send K's to Eastern Division

Muskegon Fury
==========================================================
Muskegon Fury (UHL)-- Signed left wing Andrew Luciuk to a two-year
contract.
After winning the Colonial Cup championship last season, the Muskegon
Fury would like nothing more than to keep the nucleus of their team
together next season.
Last week, the Fury signed their all-time leading scorer, Robin
Bouchard, to a two-year contract. This week, the Fury took another
major step in keeping that nucleus together with the signing of left
winger Andrew Luciuk.
Luciuk, a 25-year-old five-year pro, signed a two-year deal. Terms of
the contract were not disclosed.
"Lucky has a burning desire to play and to win," said Fury coach
Danton Cole. "His leadership qualities continue to be an important
part of this team and franchise. He's a pro's pro all the way."

Wolfie!
Still, it might have gone down as just another hockey night in
northern Michigan until a fan hopped over the plexiglass...Savo
Mitrovic, reached the man on the ice...(and) tried to hit the fan.
"He landed between me and my goalie," Mitrovic explained. "Who knew
what he had in his hands?"
