As a very surprising perk for their season ticket holders, the
Florida Everblades provided us all with vouchers to use for this past
weekend games against Edmonton and Nashville. The vouchers were good
for the mezzanne level, which, while probably much higher then I've
ever watched a hockey game from in my life, were not really too bad
of seats.
Having never visited the 400 level before, I discovered (among other
things) the Panthers Puck Pile, which is a collection of pucks from
well, everywhere. The deal is that if you send them one of yours
with an team logo or an original (collectors) design they don't have,
they will send you a Florida Panthers puck in return.
There were a number of minor league teams present including the AHL
Lowell Lock Monsters and the WPHL/CHL El Paso Buzzards, but I suppose
I will have to change the lack of Everblades pucks in the case! :) I
don't recall seeing any UHL pucks represented, although there was a
fellow at the game wearing a Rockford IceHogs jersey.
If you are interested in having one of your team's pucks displayed,
and getting a Florida Panthers puck back in return, you can call 954-
835-7419 for additional information on the program.
Meanwhile, anyone want to comment on Canton's new nickname?
