I've got my own server that I host a couple of sites off of. Pretty
convenient when you want to try new things. :)
The system itself is called PHP-Nuke. PHP is a dynamic scripting
language that you embed into HTML. PHP-Nuke is meant to be run on a
system running Apache, PHP, and a SQL database. In my case it's a Red
Hat Linux system with Apache, PHP, and MySQL. I'm impressed with how
easy it was to set up this system. If you want to check it out go to
http://php-nuke.org
You're right - it is lite on content for now, but not any worse than the
previous page that was there. I'm hoping that with a more dynamic system
like there is now that others will participate & make things better.

One thing I brought over from the old site is the "Just what is an off
ice official?" FAQ. If you hit the FAQ section, it's there.
As for things you'd like to see - throw ideas at me. For that matter -
jump into the comments section of the "Introducing the new
OffIceOfficials.com" and blast away.
At this point it's pretty much all Jackals / Jr. Jackals related but I
have no objection at all to adding the rest of the UHL & Empire Junior B
Hockey League teams to the site as topics we can discuss. Whatever makes
the site better is good with me.

I created the new site at about 3:00 PM yesterday afternoon, left for
the Jackals game aroudn 4:15, came home around 10:30 and worked on it
until about 1:00 AM. For having that little time into it I think it
looks okay. :)
