Subject: [lawu] LA's women's club team
Hi Ladies,
The 2007 club season is upon us!
In an effort to keep things fresh and continue the growth of women's
ultimate in LA, we've decided to start anew. This year, Los Angeles will
have a new women's team. What does that mean? The team will have a new
name(!), new leadership and new fun!
It is our hope that we form an LA team that is competitive,
spirited, and cohesive. We're looking for women who are prepared to play
at a high level of ultimate, improve individual skills as well as team
skills, and enjoy each other's company in the process.
**Tryouts** - Location:TBD
Tryouts will be held either May 19th or 20th (depending on LA women's
league), June 2-3 (Cal States tourney) and June 9th. More definite
info to come.
**Practices**
Practices will be held two weekends a month. One weekend will be a
one-day practice (either Sat. OR Sun.) and the other weekend we will
have practices on both Saturday and Sunday. In addition, weekday track
workouts and throwing groups will be formed based on where you live.
We will be sending out more info in the near future. Also, if you know
any other ladies that are not on the Lawu list that are interested,
please forward them this email!
