The weather is cooling down……..

 

And so we decided to move the starting time to 6.00 am for the Friday and Saturday ride.

 

Please remember that we are in the holy month of Ramadan and I would like to ask you to be sensible while riding and to avoid drinking in public as all the Muslims are fasting.

Your Roadsters Need You!

Support drivers have offered much assistance and protection to the Friday ride over the past 6 months. I’m sure we’ve all felt the extra security on a foggy Al Ain highway or the relief that your not alone when the pack drops you at 60kmh!

But we always need more volunteers. If you really can’t give up a couple of rides a year then use your powers of persuasion to coerce a family member or friend to do it for you. They’ll just love that feeling of boundless energy you get at 4.30am!

Many who have volunteered, especially those who ride, have often said how amazing it is to see how the pack rides together and also how they themselves can ride more safely. It really does give you another perspective.

You’ll get a sign, a flashy light so you can pretend to be Starsky and Hutch, a medical kit and water and ice. You’ll also get that slightly smug feeling at the Lime Tree when fellow riders look you in the eye as if to say ‘thanks for being there when I hit rock bottom!’

So please send your names and preferred date to Francesca and she’ll do the rest.

We would like to ask all the riders on the Friday Rides for a contribution of 100 AED to cover the costs for the water during the rides and other itmes we need for the support cars.

We will collect the money after the Friday Rides.
