Hello All,

I hope all of you are fit and training.

Although lots of people are on vacation we still get more the 70 riders out for the FRIDAY RIDE – well done all of you great to see you commitment.

Tonight there will be our beginner’s night in Nad Al Sheba. I would like to introduce group cycling to the new riders.

I have attached some tips for riding in a group please have a look.

Please get in touch with me if you like to join us everybody is welcome.

We started a new ride on Saturday Morning at 5.30 am from the traffic light between Safa Park Bridge /Sheik Zayed Road and Al Khalil Road towards Nad Al Sheba. For all the rides we try to leave in time so please make sure you are ready to go by the starting time.

The ride is a recovery ride for 2 hours (after the harder work on Friday morning)

It is supposed to be a gentle ride only on the small chain ring (I am talking about a 39, your heart rate should be around 55% to 60 % of you max) if you break the rule you have to buy the coffee for the groupJ

Please get in touch with Francesca if you can drive the support car franticfran27@...

We did put some tips and information together to help you train in the hot season please see the attachments.

Quote of the week:

"I'm fascinated by the sprinters. They suffer so much during the race just to get to the finish, they hang on for dear life in the climbs, but then in the final kilometers they are transformed and do amazing things. It's not their force per se that impresses me, but rather the renaissance they experience. Seeing them suffer throughout the race only to be reborn in the final is something for fascination." -- Miguel Indurain

Have a good week

If you want to watch the Tour of Germany which is on right now pass by the shop

And watch it live with us and have a coffee from our new LAVAZZA machine

Happy riding

Musandam Challenge

December 8 - 14, 2006

The Musandam Peninsula, known as the "Norway of Arabia", is the northern-most part of Oman, jutting out into the Straits of Hormuz at the entrance to the Arabian Gulf.  The spectacular coastline, is dominated by, mountains plunging into the sea, fjord-like inlets, and small islands.

This is Gulf for Good's first full kayaking challenge, accompanied by a "mother" catering and equipment dhow and a safety boat, participants will paddle right around the Musandam Peninsular from Khasab to Dibba. Only a handful of people have ever done this before, and it promises to be truly memorable.

Funds raised will go towards worthwhile charities for children and the blind, in Oman itself.

Register now to participate in this incredible challenge and help make a difference.

Have you got what it takes?
