Dear all,
Have you ever thought what would have made your international
experience(s) easier and your cross-cultural adjustment more
successful? I have designed a research study to
help better understand how to enhance expatriates and repatriates
international adjustment.
My name is Luisa Pinto, and I am a PhD student at Minho University
(www.uminho.pt), in Portugal, and I am asking for your support! As
an expatriate or repatriate I know you agree that learning how
to make international experiences successful is important to all.
Therefore, I would like to invite you to share your experience by
participating in this research. The questionnaire is available
though the URL:
http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB225EN4N38Q5
(If the link does not work, copy and paste the URL into your browser)
The completion of this questionnaire won't take you longer than 15-
20 minutes (it is 10 pages long) and most items can be check off.
Participation is anonymous and answers will be treated
confidentially. No personal data will be used for other than
statistic purposes. The deadline for the completion of the survey is
the 11th of September 2006. I would also be grateful if you forward
this survey to contacts you believe have interest for the subject
and are in a situation to participate: international employees doing
an international assignment and returned expatriates within the last
18 months. All should be in a business setting. Home and destination
countries are not relevant since we are searching for a
multicultural sample.
Your support to this project will be a valuable contribution. In
return, send me your email (lhpinto@...) and I will send you a
summary of the final results that may give you insights in planning
your next international or repatriation move.
Thank you very much for your support!
Best regards,
Luisa Pinto
