The Malaysian Ironman this year was very badly advertised and so few people went that EVERY finisher in whatever time he or she did qualified for the World Championships in Hawaii!!

 

This looks like being the last year of Malaysian Ironman (2007 that is) and if you ever wanted to go to Hawaii and race with the big boys (and  the speedy girls of course), going to Malaysia in Feb 2007 is probably one of the best chances you'll have.

Qualifying for Hawaii is getting harder and harder as semi-pros, age groupers (us amateurs) and ex- bike/run/swim champions have been bringing down the times to nearly unachievable levels over the last few years. Think about it!!
