Happy 4^th of July to you all!!! Hope your enjoying some time outside grilling…

 

What can you say about the weather? Who ordered the rain? This is the 3^rd week in a row we have been rained on. But that did slow down the spirit of the 24 that came to duke it out. Welcome back Mike Kumiega after a month off preparing for fatherhood!

 

A BIG thanks to Gwen for being lap counter even in the rain and she did get exactly 18 laps! The avg MPH for the 18 laps was 23.04, pretty fast for the 19  A’s. The wind was slight but the rain was constant for about 2/3 of the race. Darn sand cinders getting caught between the teeth sucks J

 

Well, as fast as the tempo was, no attacks lasted for more than a lap. Grygus, Minor, Meier, Jones, Poulin and others keep the pace high. So guess what, there was a pack finish about 12 of us. The last lap avg speed was over 25 MPH and the finish was about 35 MPH. Guess who took top honors? Kurt? Not! Congrats to Mike Grygus for treating us like crumbs J

REMINDER, if rider has mechanical, if they get back in to race, they can’t influence the outcome of the race. Riding in the back of the peloton is considerate.  And, if you don’t sign in, NO POINTS!

 

Next week ESG course, ONLY 1 lap because the AVRE race is Saturday. Last time going ESG this year!
