I don't know how many of the road riders will be interested in this, but I though you could let the TVC know.

  

A lot of people were interested in getting an Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) Chapter in Binghamton.  I made the call early summer 2007 and got things started to open one. 

 

We now have a date and place for the birth of this mountain club.  Thursday 2/28/08 at Gander Mountain 528 Harry L. Drive Johnson City, NY 13790 starting at 6:30 p.m.  Apparently they have an extra room for our meeting.

 

We will need all your help in bringing this Binghamton chapter to life.  Please spread to word to any mountain activity athelete you know. 

 

I've also mailed it to all the Telemark skiers I know, and various friends and contacts that are not in a club, but actively either Mt Bike, Backpack, Kayak or Backcountry Ski.

 

Current ADK members at large are supposed to be contacted from the ADK directly.

 

This will be on the local news before the meeting, and in the Binghamton Press & Sun.  I also have it set up to go on the local Public Access Channel 4 community bulletin and possibly on the radio as well.

 

I hope you are all as excited as I am.  This mountain club will lead us to greater adventure!
