I absolutely positively need you all to get CIPP'd tonight (Wednesday) if at all possible.....today was our cutoff to get a referee for this weekend. We needed to have 15 CIPP'd by today, all of you CIPP'd for the weekend....we have 13 right now...therefore, we have no referee.
Please get on-line and do it!
I will try to get down to practice early tomorrow (Thursday)...5:30ish for passing/kicking help.
We ARE having a walk-through practice 6PM on Friday. Pasta party at Jackie's to follow. I will be bringing by an international rugby match so we can hopefully help some folks understand the course of the game a little better....I'm gonna stick around for only an hour or so.
As I mentioned, we need everyone for Saturday ready to play. I know a lot of people are getting used to the game....don't be nervous...you'll eventually get there. Come out and get on the field.
Our match against GW (originally scheduled for Sept. 27) is going to be postponed until October...the 4th, I think. The team will probably get together and do something fun on the 27th.
See you all tomorrow,
Jeff

I feel like I always forget to mention something....I need you all to get CIPP'd today!!!! It's $30. We're at 11 or 12, we need to have 15 signed up today. Details of how to do so are at the bottom of the page.FRIDAY WALK-THROUGH - I'll be asking at practice tonight....who would like to have a walk-through practice on Friday (probably 6ish), and who can definately make it. Soooo...give it some thought.FRIDAY PASTA DINNER - I'm sure someone will be hosting a pre-game pasta dinner this Friday night (details forthcoming). If you all feel it would be worthwhile, I may crash the pasta dinner for a bit (maybe an hour at most), bring an international match DVD with me...we can watch some of the game and I'll break it down a bit for you.BBQ - At some point over the next couple weeks, I'll host a cookout for you all at my house in Bel Air (about 25 minutes up I95). Will likely be September 28th if the weather looks like it's going to be nice. Definately not mandatory to attend....you will however miss out on some pretty good cooking. Football will be on the TV, so if you'll be annoyed by that, you're not allowed to come ;)PARENTS/RELATIVES/FRIENDS - Invite them to the games. If you parents or relatives want to meet your coaches, feel free to introduce them to Georgia and I. If they have questions for me, and can't make it out to a match, feel free to pass along my contact info.RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL - There is a Renaissance Festival down towards Severn River (where we played this weekend). It goes for six weeks or so....I've always heard it's a pretty good time, but never gone myself. The Severn River Rugby team (men's and women's) are getting together and going as a group on October 12. You all are welcome to join us....it's $13 if we get a group of 20 or more. Whenever you get rugby players, beer, massive turkey drumsticks, and jousting together, it promises to be an interesting time.CIPP V2 -Go to http://membership.usarugby.org
Click on Create/Renew Individual Membership (top one)
Enter your info. If you had a CIPP last year, use the first option at the bottom. New players, use the second.
I think the next screen is where you'll type in Towson...you'll see the women's team pop up. Select us. I think at some point it asks you for the LAU (Local Area Union)....we are Potomac Rugby Union.
Then it goes to a billing screen....you'll need to use a credit card...there is some type of billing option, but I have absolutely no idea how that works.
It's $30 to get CIPP'd....lasts for a year, so you're good until next fall. If you play next summer locally, you can transfer to a team, and then back to Towson (or whoever, if you're graduating) next fall.It says to print the form and bring to your Club officer....don't worry about that. It's more important that we're all just CIPP'd.
