I've got a couple ideas on how to get a little
more power and torque out of a turbodiesel. Two names
to consider...HyperMax Engineering, and Bully Dog
Propane Injection. Hypermax was the turbocharger
manufacturer for most of the diesel superstock tractors in the
80s (still quite a few Hypermax chargers around
today, too). They've branched out to working with
pickups too. They've got quite a few different systems to
add a fair bit of horsepower. Bully Dog propane
injection is pretty cool stuff, too. Basically, they'll put
in a new chip in your engine with new fuel mapping,
and they'll put in what basically amounts to a
nitrous system. The difference is that your truck will
inject propane, as opposed to nitrous. It really works,
too. I've seen and felt the results. Check
