Sorry to hear that Sascha about loosing your
pride and joy in a website that you made look better
than most professionals and it being taken over by
somebody who probably doesn't hve a clue about
pulling.

I have been a big pulling fan for all my life. My
father was a national champion in 1982 in the mod 4x4
class. This is when it was fun, no fire suits, helmets,
all that crap that is supposed to be for safety. The
only fires I saw back when dad was pulling was ol'
Chester Prins and his Turbine Powered JET SET 4x4 truck,
The War Wagon Turbine powered truck, Art Arfons and
his son Tim with Green Monster and Tim's tractor.
Chester had problems with his turbine when he first
started, but when it ran it really went down the track
like a SMFWD truck.

I remember Rambunctious mod
tractor with twin Allisons and 3 oldsmobile engines
stacked on top of them and the driver was on the front of
the tractor. That was a cool sight. There was so many
good thigs in pulling back then when you had to use
your head and modify and adjust and tinker around to
get the best pull. Now what you have to have is lots
of money, sponsers, and a team. Back when dad
started, he took the old 71 chevy farm truck and perts
from an old international military truck and went from
there. Everything was old stuff from here and there and
made into a pulling machine with lots of thought and
testing. Now the most affordable way to pull is to buy a
used truck or tractor and go from there. You can't
afford to pull anymore in any division whether it be
gardentractors, antiques, trucks and big tractors. I like to see
a lot fo the brush pulls pop up and take off that
have no sanctioning like NTPA where they change the
rules mroe often than you change underwear. Pullers
cannot afford to do that all the time. That is one
reason that my dad got out 3 years later after he won
his championship.

I like to see pulls with
strict rules that don;t allow a lot of $$$$$$
modifications and you have to make due with what little you
have to work with. I would like to get into the
prostock 4x4 class with dads old truck if I had a set opf
rules and see what would it take to pull it in that
class. Anyone havea set of rules?????
