Hey guys...just thought I'd drop a quick note
here. I was in Hudsonville, MI for their pull last
night. Pretty good show. Bruce Slagh's "Show No Mercy"
modified ran very well, with only two engines. It's been a
treat to watch him this year, as he's been running so
well lately. Also saw something new. A guy from
Hudsonville has built a modified on a John Deere 8400 body.
Kind of a different idea. It's a stretched body,
stretched long enough to fit a GE T-64 turbine in it. Quite
the machine. While it didn't make any earth
shattering runs, it did do very well, and once it's dialed
in, could prove to be one to watch. ProStocks were
pretty good. Norm Wehyer has "Oh Bonnie" running again,
and made a strong run. A couple of the Super Farm
boys made the move up into the ProStock category for
the fun of it. Tony Seitsema and his Wolverine Deere
4430 made an alright run, but ended up almost blowing
his charger, when the wastegate wouldn't shut, and
the throttle stuck. <br>But...by far, the most
interesting stuff of the night was the exhibition runs. Arnie
Kwiatkowski's got a new one. Wow...it's big. Whatever's under
the hood, he's got MX270 sheetmetal on it. It's an
alcohol breather, and it's got gobs and gobs of power. He
made one exhibition pass on it (for those keeping
track, that was run #9), and it was amazing to watch.
The thing never ran out of power. I think that he's
got another national champion once they dial it in
the right way. <br>Anyway, just thought I'd share.
Why don't we talk anymore on this thing? We love this
sport...let's talk about it. I'll make the effort if I see you
guys makin' the effort...have a good

transmission that you were satisfied with yet? Best of luck in
finding one. I'd probably recommend the Saginaw.
