Hey gang,
For those of you who missed the TaiChi Festival at Tyler State Park
in Bucks Co. Ya missed a great time out. This was perhaps the most
fun time there yet in the 4 years, our group has attended. Our New
Gold Lion opened the fest with a firsttime ever LionDance which went
over very well. We were actually asked for another performance!
(Unfortunately this wasn't anticpated before hand and Stephie went
home with the LionHead before we were asked). I was naturally
nervous for the team being this was only our 3rd performance with
Stephie being her first time as a LionDancer. There was also the
problem of the terrain the team and band played on. The way the fest
was set up wasn't the easiest with hills and uneven ground to deal
with. I think we learned alot from today. Our group was also asked
to perform martial arts and we opted with a broadsword demo with
Jeana performing a compuls LongFist routine which was also well
recieved. Again we were sorry that we didn't anticipate before hand,
I know Stephanie would have really blown them away with her
acrobatic manuevers. It was nice to see new faces at the festival
displaying their impressive skills. A noticed improvement at the
festival was more venders and selling hot food. It was a pleasure to
have our friend John Lee over displaying his awesome weapons for
sale.
I'm looking forward to next years Fest and hope it will be even
better!
CHeers!
