Bob Orlando is a long time student of Pentjak Silat and Chinese
Kuntao, and is certified by Dutch Indonesian Master Willem De
Thouars. Sifu Orlando is also an accomplished instructor with over
30 years of experience. He is the author of "Indonesian Fighting
Fundamentals; The Brutal Arts of the Archipelago" and "Martial Arts
America. A Western Approach to Eastern Arts".
The Indonesian Martial Arts were formed out of necessity and
grounded in reality on techniques and training methods that actually
work. The Arts of Silat and Kuntao are not meant for sport. A
workshop with Sifu Orlando will result in an understanding of self
defense applications by defining and exploring the underlying
principles and concepts of a brutal and unrelenting fighting art.
