RE: [Tri RATS] New to the area

RE: the path to south run, if you're interested I have some maps that are of
rides out to Clifton, VA and back via Fountainhead Park entrance from
VanDorn/Franconia, mileage is about 50is and some nice hills.

I live pretty close to you, and use the Hayfield track. It's at the corner
or Telegraph and Hayfield. If you head south/east on Van Dorn to Telegraph
make a right and the track is about a mile down at the corner with Hayfield.
So far the track has never been locked when I go.

As for trails, there's a decent stretch of path along the Fairfax County
Parkway also. I suggest you not pick it up until about South Run Rec Center
(Reservation Dr).

Or you can do the Telegraph Road trail mentioned and make your along Rt 1 to
Mason Neck. It's quiet back there. (email me and I will give you some ways
to get over there)

Subject: [Tri RATS] New to the area

Hi,

I just moved to the area and am looking for some advice on the best places
to train (bike and run, I found a pool). I live off Van Dorn right about
where it intersects with 95.

I'm especially interested in finding a good place to do cycling speed
training and a public track.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan
