Slow Twitch had an article about average income of participants in various
athletic activities. Triathlon was number two, with an average of some thing
like 110K (if I recall correctly). It was the sport with the second highest
average. Number one was Polo.

At some point when poking around on the Kona website, I saw that the average
annual salary of a Kona participant was $160,000. Wow. I guess that helps in
paying all those expenses. Maybe I should go back to bowling.
