Let me know if I can help with your Boston Marathon trip. I still have rooms
available at the finish line.

I'm attaching a flyer with all the info. (or, if you can't open it, the
info's on my website too). Feel free to forward it around to all your
friends who might be running it too.

See ya in Boston next year!

Looks like McGirks will work. I just stopped down and talked to them, over a
Guiness of course, they would have no problem accommodating 15-30 people.

Dec 7th at 7:00! I'm looking forward to getting this club off the ground. Sara
for President!!

Let's get this triathlon club off the ground! I need a few good men and women
to start doing the nitty gritty work with me, though.

Through the TCRC website, the Yahoo group, the Facebook group and the
BeginnerTriathlete.com folks it sounds like the best approach would be to have a
meeting in December for those interested in having a hand in the formation of
the club (either by holding a position or sharing insight from the formation of
other groups) or for those just interested in grabbing a beer and sitting in on
all the tri-related jabber. This meeting would serve as a planning meeting for a
bigger meeting in January where we actually have people sign up to form the club
and plan out our year as a club.

In order to not interfere too much with the holiday season I thought sooner
rather than later would be best, so please let me know if December 7th, 7-8pm,
place TBA would work. Bob Stocks had mentioned that Grandes on Upper Front St.
would be a good meeting place. And, McGirk's was also thrown out there as an
idea as well. Thoughts?

Please let me know if you can make this date and time, if I don't have at
least five able-bodied definites for that night I'll be more than happy to go
back to the drawing board.

   Thanks!!

   Sara Gdovin

From Tim Hanna:

This is a reminder that the Triple Cities Ski Club is having its annual Ski Sale
this weekend, Sunday, Nov 22 from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. JC American Legion, 429
Main St, Johnson City. Plenty of cross country skis, boots, snowshoes, etc.
Families can bring in the boots that don't fit anymore and put them in the sale
and pick up larger ones for the coming season. This makes the sport more
affordable for growing families. There is also new stuff from ski shops
available.

Best Thanksgiving race and a race you'll remember:
Berwick Run for the Diamonds on Thanksgiving Day
This year is the 100th running of the race.
See  http://www.runfordiamonds.com/mainpage.html

Berwick is about 2 hrs from BGM - south on Rt 81; then Rt 80W; look for Berwick
exit (there are 2).

Hello,

I am from the Boston area, but I am going to be in Binghamton for
Thanksgiving. I was looking for a Turkey Trot of some sort to run on
Thanksgiving
morning that isn't far from Binghamton. So far I have had trouble finding
anything close enough and I figured you would be the most knowledgeable group

I appreciate your help!

Hello - the 100th runnuing of thr RUN FOR THE DIAMONDS is Thanksgiving
morning. I think its about a 2 hour drive but it's a famous race with plenty of
spectators and history. It is almost a 15k (8.999 miles) I would imagine
they will have special stuff. There is people from TCRC going. You
might even be able to get a ride.

I am bummed because I will be visiting relatives in Atlanta but not all is
lost because Atlantas 1/2 and full Marathon are that day as well.

currently in the works, but I will probably do another one soon if we have the
interest. I will keep you posted.

We made a small initial order for a few of us to see how they came out and
they are really nice and look great. They come in men's and women's styles
and are navy blue with white trim and embroidery. They run true to size
for what people take in other jacket sizes of this type. There is no profit
being made on these and are intended for members to wear with pride and show
their support of our running club and community.

If you would like to order a jacket, please send the following to the
address below:

- $65

- Name

- Men's or Women's jacket and size

- Contact info such as email and cell

- Mailing address if you would like the jacket shipped

Chris Cowden

20 Fowler Ave.

Johnson City, NY 13790

Deadline for next order is October 31st, so if you want to be in this
order I would need to have the $65 and above info by that date. I can arrange
to get the jacket to you once they come in. If you would like it shipped to
you, please include an additional $8 for Priority Mail.

Sara/Bob - We will have to miss out on the fun tomorrow - our training schedule
calls for 13 miles this week and 16 for next Sunday so I think 20 will be
pushing things abit. Good Luck, the weather should be perfect!

We'll meet at this park and ride Bob speaks of. =)

8 would be fine but I would have to cut it short or get some miles in before I
met up with you, I need to be back home around 10ish.

How about 7:00 for a start time? Good compromise? We can use the park and ride
for re fuelling too before River Rd loop.
