To TCRC members;
On behalf of the officers and board of directors of the Triple Cities Runners
Club, I would like to invite you to attend our annual meeting, to be held this
coming Tusday at the Brothers 2 restaurant in Endwell. The scheduled time is 7
p.m., and pizza and beverages will be served. Our annual meeting serves
primarily to elect (or re-elect) our officers and also board members whos terms
have expired. We have 3 seats with expiring terms, and all 3 of those board
members would like to continue on. Our current officers all are planning on
continuing on, also. So at this time, we have no need to fill any positions.
However, if there is anyone out there with a strong interest in running for a
board position, please feel free to do so, and an election will be held. The
same goes for an officer's position. Normally the case is for us to have to
solicit interest in participation if we are short. This year is not that case.
Also, if any of you have a topic of interest that you would like to discuss,
the meeting is an opportunity to do so. Please send your topic to me, and you
will have the floor for the opportunity to do so. I would certainly encourage
you to do this.
I would also like to inform you that we have a guest speaker. Binghamton
University cross country and distance runners coach Anette Acuff is going to
speak. Anette is also an accomplished runner in her own right, and currently
the number one women's runner in the Binghamton area. She consistently runs her
5ks in the 17 minute range, and is just coming off a victory in the St. Pat's
4-miler right here in Binghamton. I would like to personally thank her for her
service.
I hope this finds all you in good health and enjoying your early spring
running, and I'll look forward to seeing some of you on Tuesday night.
