I have that list!
It is very a long list.
Also, it is written in such a way that you have to have someone explain them
because every street/road is not listed.
Maybe we could work something out and I could explain some of the routes.
They all start on the track (at the bottom of the stairs that are close to the
locker rooms). They finish there also.
During the season, we open the gates. Other times, kids just run along the
bleachers (in between the fence and bleachers) out onto the roads.
There are courses all over Endwell- flat, hilly, from 2.42 to 15 miles.
Could I email a few at a time and have you copy them that way?
It would be great to see running groups meet there and use the courses.
I suppose you could start at the top of the stairs in the parking lot, it
wouldn't make that much of a difference. Also, many of them finish across that
field (like the Matzke Race) and up that steep bank.
They also have records. Some held by the Girards and Fiona Cundy, as well as
some very fast high school boys.
Just to begin- some of my favorites are:
Farm-to-Market- Struble- Robinson Hill- Country Club- Hooper. It is 4.65 miles
Farm-to-Market- Sally Piper- Case- Robinson Hill- Struble- F-to-M is 5.49
F-to-M- Higby- Sally Piper- F-to-M is 5.35 (this is many kid's favorite).
The classic course is F-to-M- Higby- Town Line- Case- Rob Hill- Struble 7.38
(Town Line is a killer!)
F-to-M- Hillside- Twist Run- F-toM is 3.81
Many others go into Endwell and are a little flatter.
We have names for many of them- maybe after a runner from M-E- Cliff Bills,
Monica, or just one street name- Higby or some weird name- Dabolina (that is the
Pete Matzke course without the laps on the track and it is 2.42 miles). It is a
long story how it came to be called Dabolina.
Most kids at M-E get to know them by their "nickname" and I just have to say,
"You're doing E&T or Town Line today." And they know where to go!

Please email me your favorite running routes, including approximate
miles, in and around the triple cities for inclusion in the next
newsletter. Also if anyone has the list of running routes used by the
ME Cross Country team can you email me that list? Thanks and enjoy
the rest of the weekend- Susan
