RE: [trigirls] Upcoming Bike Clinic and Wednesday Rides

Friday mornings are good.  Lisa G. and I have run (ran?) the Columbia tri course a couple of times and we're thinking about doing some bricks.  Is anyone available say 8:30am on Friday?

Too bad that's the same night as RBR...any chance anyone is interested in Friday rides?

There is an upcoming bicycle clinic called "Got Skills?" that is going to be held in Glenwood on April 21.  Information about it is provided below.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that there is a group of folks that meet on Wednesday nights for a ride from Folly Quarter Middle School at 6pm.  They are called HoCoCylists and you can find more information about the group (and rides) here: http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/HoCoCyclists/.

There will be a cycling skills seminar on Saturday, April 21st from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  The details are listed at www.midmarylandcoaching.com.   It will be held at the Glenwood Community Center in their side parking lot.

The seminar is open to all levels of cyclist from beginner to advanced.  This will be a low key, fun event that will benefit solo riders, group riders and competitive cyclists.   We'll cover topics such as cornering, group riding, hopping, bumping, etc.  The goal is to develop the skills that we all need to ride on the open road with cars, obstacles and people all around us.

In order to secure enough help, pre-registration will be required so we know how many to expect.  Payments for the seminar will be dealt with the day of.  The cost is almost nothing.  $1.00 (to cover the insurance) if you are already a USAC license holder or $6.00 if you need a USAC one-day license.  To register go to www.midmarylandcoaching.com and click on the link under 'Got Skills?".  Sign up early so that we can guarantee you a spot.  If it starts getting too big we might have to set a cutoff.

And perhaps, someone might want to coordinate a ride from there following the seminar.

See you there!
