Wendy,
What days do you spin?? I spin at Columbia gym on Tues and Thursdays at 9:30. Are you there too, and I just don't know you?

I have joined CA and am enjoying the Columbia Gym. Have been trying to spin a 2-3 times a week, and swim 2-3 times a week.I do a quick weight workout after spinning- and I do mean quick. I ran today for the first time in about 3 weeks. Of course I am doing the thing I need most the least! I am resisting registering for any Olympic distance races because I really cannot do justice to job or race if I try to train for that. Have not yet signed on for any races this year, but expect to do pretty much the same ones as last year- Fun sprints.
When does the masters group meet on Wednesdays? Once upon a time I could do 4 strokes, and I do not remember how to flip turn- but we don't need to in our races, so who cares? Sounds like it would be fun and useful to swim with them. What is the charge?
I, too, will wait for warmer weather to ride outside again. My toes were cold after today's run, and it was 45 degrees!

Wow, Sadj. Sounds like you've got some nice momentum.
I'm restarting my training now, too. I'm *thinking*
about running a full marathon at the end of April,
followed by the Columbia Tri a few weeks later. So,
I'm trying to figure out how to arrange my training
schedule. So far, I've been running and all but
ignoring my bike or the pool. Though I do try to get
in the pool once a week and attend a pilates class
once a week.
Anyway, any advice about training for a marathon and
tri at the same time would be much appreciated. For
example, should I line up the 2 training schedules so
I don't have to do a 20-mile run followed by a 2 hour
ride the next day? But I still want to build in some
recovery weeks...
I really need to get on the bike... I'm sure my riding
muscles (what I had of them) are completely atrophied
at this point.
Alyssa
P.S. I was the other MMTC woman on the Columbia tri
run course last week. Fun? Well, I'm glad I finally
ran the course. And it was nice to do it with other
MMTC people.
