Folks, Kate Chesley asked me to help out gathering volunteers for
upcoming events. While this is not a Tri, I think it would be a
great way for all of us to help FARC out with a race. If you aren't
racing on this day, please consider helping out.

We need a bunch of you fine people to help out with the 2nd Annual
Coldwell Banker Elite Cross Country race on October 20th at Loriella
Park. The race starts at 4:30 in the afternoon, so volunteers don't
have to get up at some absurdly early hour of the morning.

We'll need folks to help out in the following areas:

* course marking (probably start this about 2:00pm)
* finish line manager
* timers
* computer operator
* course marshals (many!)
* registration/packet pickup at VA Runner
* registration/packet pickup at Loriella Park (on race day)
* refreshments

All volunteers are guaranteed to receive total consciousness on their
deathbeds (Void where prohibited by law. Not valid in Tibet. Must be
an active FARC member at time of death to receive said
consciousness.)
