Y33 Broken Rear Triangle   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #99 of 1629 |
Alright is it me, the bike or just bad luck. I have already welded a
crack in the rear triangle near the bottom bracket. I was lucky that
time regular maintainence caught it as a crack.

Last weekend I ripped the rear derailer off and of course damaged the
rear triangle again. The derailer hanger is integrated and the 1/2in
thick stick that went round, cracked the aluminium and oblonged the
hole. Now I have to have it welded and milled unless someone out
there has a cheap rear triangle for sale. I am not the original owner
so no factory warranty.

The bike rides GREAT when I'm not breaking it.

Chet
