I agree as well. I replaced my front shocks with the Marzocchi EXR pro 110mm, and just that changed my frames geometry considerably. gave it more of a downhill/freeride flavor, so i changed the rear shock to a 3.5" travel vs the original 1.75", taking sag levels into account, the frame does sit higher, but the head angle is more relaxed, so I have my control back, not to mention it could take a bigger hit now :)
All in all it ultimately comes down to what you want to accomplish with your Y, and fixing the one factor that plagued the Y bike from the start....the dreaded pogo effect.
