Greetings Y bikers...
Good to see this group starting to take off at last. Seems it's a
small world as far as Y bike enthusiasts go. With the exception of my
Y5 pics in the Moderator's Y5 album, 99% of the pics here are from
Ebay...taken as I go through my daily trawl of Trek listings.
Surprisingly, there is little else on the bikes on the internet so I
think the pics should be saved while they're out there.
Having always wanted a Y bike since I got into mountain biking, it was
only via Ebay some years later that I could afford one, and having got
the Y5 I now want more! (The story of my Y5 is in the links and on a
couple of occasions it has been linked from Ebay from people selling
Y5's). Currently I'm looking out for a YSL200...top of the range
carbon fibre OCLV. There was a new old stock one about 2 months back
and I haven't forgiven myself for letting myself get outbid on it.
Although there's one on Ebay right now, it's medium frame and I need
large. Anyway, just about to go out riding with the Y5...perfect day
for it :)

HAHA! Nice bikes, I like the tribal paint jobs on them. I sniped the
blue Y-22 and Y-33 frame. I'll post pictures soon too! I've always
loved these bikes and plan to ride'em, and keep 'em goin' as long as I
can. When these bikes first came out was around the time I graduated
my bachelor's degree. But couldn't afford them because of my student
loans. Still can't actually but thank goodness for EBay! I even have
a Y-Foil 77 and building another. I still have my aluminum bikes but
I've been spoiled after riding the Y's, there's no goin' back! I too
look forward to this forum for info and hope it grows as big as the
Y-Foil group which has over 300+ members and still growing! So glad
that Trek has invested so much into the OCLV technology and sponsoring
Lance Armstrong!
