Re: New Member and upgrade questions

Congrats on the new bike. Check the manual about lubing the main
pivot. I seem to recall that it should not be disassembled nor lubed.
I'll take a look at my manual tonight if you don't have one.

I've changed just about everything on my bike except the frame,
cranks, and stem. I upgraded the brakes from cantalevers, added a
brake brace in the rear, upgraded to a 9 speed rear, extended the
range of my front rings to 44-32-20, changed the front shock to get
more travel, switched to high spoke tension Cane Creek wheels that
stay true, upgraded to the Cane Creek Cloud Nine rear shock after the
Fox blew out, added a riser bar, switched to twist shifters, added a
second seat post quick release to the post itself because the post
kept sliding down, changed the seat, and added a Profile Design dual
bottle holder to the seat post.

Mine is also a 1996 Y-22, still in the original nude-carbon color.
