Well while I was searching for a suitable first Trek Y I came across
this group. This is great luck for me since I have quite a few
questions before I wanna dive in and commit the money.

First my biggest question that keeps seeming to pop up is sizing. How
to identify the size of frame since just measuring from the BB to the
top tube doesnt work out the same. I'm 5'11" and am pretty sure I'd be
looking for the medium or 18" Y's. Any input?

I gained alot of info from reading the page here
http://www.users.bigpond.com/cool386/trek/trek.htm that actually led
me to this group. I still need to know what to look for besides making
sure that the carbon isn't cracked anywhere.

There are a couple for sale in my area but I think that I've decide
that I want the updated 97 or 98 frame. Any help with identifying the
year of these two?
