" I know of one thats near me and i can
tell you theres a lot of difference between whats a fact and whats a
fantasy there! I'm wondering if theres not quite a bit of you scratch
my back and i'll scratch yours going on..and honesty doesnt matter
sigh. "

Here's my take on this....you owe nothing to either of these clowns. That said, had one or both of them actually contacted you and said "I told "so and so" about your horse, he/she wants to know if they may come over Saturday at ___", I would feel like it was only fair to give them what is called a "bird dog" fee-$50.00 or so. That's fair. But to be informed after the fact, then have someone expect 10% is ridiculous. You're not wrong here.

".......and God sought to bestow upon man a supreme mark of his blessing. God
created the horse. The horse could run faster than the deer, jump higher than
the goat, and endure longer than the wolf. Man, being encompassed by elements
that sought to destroy him, would have been a slave, had the horse not made
him king."
