I really admire people who rescue these horse! I have two myself, But...all
the feed in the world will not make his bones fuse in his back before he is 3.5
or 4 yrs old. Please wait for the sake of the horse until he is at 3.5 or
4.People worry about a horses knees fusing when their backs fuse last.

One of my rescues is now almost 3. I look at him he is almost 15 hh now, and
starting to muscle up he looks big and strong enough to ride but I know I must
wait another 6 months or so. It's hard! I play arounld with one of my other
geldings having him jump barrels in hand I have thought about doing that with
the baby but I don't want to stress one past of his beautiful body. He is a
mustang/paint cross, has loads of mane and tail, looks like he has spanish
blood. To think he would have been taken to the sale if I had not bought him! It
breaks my heart to think about all those wonderful horses going to an early
death!
