What kind of hay are you feeding? There are several companies that make food that is tailored to the type of forage you are feeding. You also need to be feeding a mineral mix as well.

I just got a 2 yr old and he is too small to break yet weight wise. How much grain should I feed daily and are suppliments the way to go? Dont believe in artificial nutrients. I feed hay by the round bail and 2 lbs of oats a day now. Up in Minesota, not ready for the pasture yet.
