Whats he do when you try to put the bridle on? Get him used to having it on
without the bit first so he will think of it as he does his halter. We use
fruit roll ups on the bit the first few times.. but if hes not used to hand
held treats and you have honey or roll ups on a bit then you may find that
hes pulling his head back away from it to be able to find where that good
tasty smell is coming from lol.

I would recomend a rubber coated full cheek or d-ring snaffle. You can also put honey on it to make it more pleasent. Leave the bit in for 15-20 min each day...
