Re: [training-horses] What would you do?

Wow That sounds exactly like my friend. I busted my butt getting a draft horse into shape. My friend wanted to ride, so I let him ride her. I told him that she does not neck rein so use both hands, dont kick her, just give her verbal cues. Well, he liked the *western movie* way, and since he was riding behind me, I didn't realize he'd be sooo stupid. After that, she became the *bucking* horse. Whenever you'd put ANY leg pressure on her she'd buck buck buck. It was fun to ride but it still messed up my hard work.

My opinion, old habits are hard to break, and this may not be a habit, but she's sure set in her ways, and chances are, even with lessons, once Snow upsets the lady, she'd probably revert back to her bad riding. You don't want to ruin a good horse on a bad bad resistant rider.
