Curious if anyone is getting out this weekend. I plan on being in the area
early part of the week, looking to ride Tuesday. I was wondering if the
trails are ok to ride or if it's still too wet? If rideable, anyone
interested in riding Tuesday?

Ooop. Never mind. I just saw it (58cm = 22.8 in).
Anyway. I wish I had tried it on. Was it small, just right, or tall for
you?

Rick,
Did we decide that this bike was too big for me. You did not specify frame
size in your ad. Want to add it before I send it out?

I was wondering what kind of ride you were going to have in that snow!
It didn't seem too bike-friendly.
Mark
Scott,
I never made it out because the road conditions were too bad.

We were rained out last Saturday so we'll try again this weekend...if
it doesn't snow too much.
Saturday Feb 8th 10:00 am North Appleton Lot (Maybe get a ride in
before...8:00ish anybody???)
Hopefully we'll clear some brush for the new South South Park Trail
(check it out in the Photo Gallery)
Ray
Anyone interested in getting a ride in Thursday evening before the weather turns bad again? How about Middle Run, leaving the church at 6:00? I'll be there with woolies on.
I have upgraded to cable internet and my e-mail address has changed.
Also, the contact phone number listed on the website has been
disconnected. These changes will be listed on the clubs website ASAP.
Rick
Back in January a group of us walked the proposed new trail in the
southern section of South Park.. I saved the track on my GPS. I've
uploaded the images to the photo section of YahooGroups. You can
view them by visiting the Trailspinners forum of YahooGroups and
click on PHOTOs on the left.

Mark,
Looks good to me. I had a hard time finding the trailspinners the first time
I went into groups.
I'm not sure if our web savvy membership can easily locate the group.
Could we put a link in the messege to the group welcome page?
That's all I can think of. its pretty simple really.

The mailing list seems to be working well, except for one thing - most
people aren't members! We need to invite the Trailspinners membership
to join the group.
Here's a set of instructions that I wrote up. Please take a look at
them, modify them, improve them, etc. We can then send this to Mr.
Short for distribution to the assembled masses.
Thanks for taking a look.
Mark
------------
Here's the info on the mailing list.
The mailing list is intended to supplement the information that Bill
Short sends out. The list is meant for people interested in trail work
and it will also work for the club rides and other events especially if
something changes on a holiday or weekend.
There are two ways to join:
1. Send mail to mailto:trailspinners-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and reply
to the confirm the subscription. This will give you a subscription to
individual messages (as apposed to a once-a-day digest) in HTML format
(as opposed to plain text).
2. Visit http://groups.yahoo.com/ and create a Yahoo ID. Find the
TrailSpinners group, and select subscribe. You have greater control
over the details of the subscription this way, but you have to create a
Yahoo id.
Which ever way you subscribe, your request will need to be confirmed (we
don't let in just anyone! :-)) and then you'll start getting messages
from the mailing list.
Once you're a member, you can send mail to the list by sending to
mailto:TrailSpinners@yahoogroups.com.
Thanks to whomever has given me admision to the list.
I am able to see and post without any problems.
I think Ray only deleed the messeges from his display, everyhting else is here,
all 13
messages for the entire year.
I was disappointed to see an ad pop-up while moving to the next thread, but at
least we don't
have to spend club money on administrative fees for this. We can spend it on
more pressing
issues related to trail access advocacy.
I don't understand Mr. Cox's contempt for the "free services" offered by such
providers. In all
cases you can create inbox rules which prevent all the naughty email form
showing up in your
inbox. Just make a rule for your junkmail filter to put that stuff in the trash
and forget about it.
I have found that if you use software products like Window washer & disc clean
that clear out
your cookie cache and temporay internet file to restore disc space that you may
have to recreate
your junkmail filter rules.
Other than that I will tolerate a few seconds delay for an ad I'm going to
ignore and move on.
TimmyGrimme
The night ride is cancelled due to a previously scheduled coon hunt
taking place in the park Saturday night ! We may have to change to
Friday nights till after coon season ends sometime in February.
Ray
Here are the main goal I am looking for out of this group list.
1. We need to be able to quickly notify everyone in the event of a cancellation due to the weather or a last minute change in plans. Bill Short will still send out the main mail but will add a line in his mail telling people to check the Yahoo mail list for last minute updates.Bill Spry wants something like this for the people interested in trail work and it will also work for the club rides and other events especially if something changes on a holiday or weekend.
It's too much of a pain to always run and check the meeting place if the plan changes or we cancel an event.
Night ride Saturday 1/11/2003 Bring lights and your woolies!
Meet at the Covered Bridge at 5:00 Push off at 5:30...Trail
maintenance obligations still apply!
Ray
