Well, the car isn't so new, but I picked up a 996 about two years ago,
and it saw its first track day on Friday at Thunderhill. I thought I
recognized some trackaddict BMWs, but it's been so long since I've
done a track day.

Aside from the necessary GT3 sway bar, the car does a good job for a
stock car. No tires, brakes, shocks, nothing. It was way slower than
my former nearly JStock E30M3, but it didn't do anything wrong and I
got to drive it home in one piece, so I consider my return to track
days as successful.
