Some friends and I are considering starting a
series next year in league with a builder. Basically
their plan is to take a '79-'83 Carrera SC and turn it
into a purebred racer. The cars look like the IMSA or
IROC cars of '74 or so. He needs a total of 6 people
to get the series going. Cost of the car will be
approx. $45-50K (not cheap) but weighs 2200 lbs with
225hp. The cost of the car would include "all" new
stuff, e.g. rebuilding the engine and transmission,
brakes, suspension, new paint, etc. Plus all the goodies
like roll cage, radio system, video system,
transportation to the track, etc.<br><br>If interested, let me
