I know that its really hard to guess why the ridership
has steadily declined, but I think that one of the
main reason's is because we have become much more
inactive.
However, I think that there is still a large audiance
of potential riders out there. I don't think that
TOSRV is promoted as well as it can be - I don't think
that it get's the national attention that it deserves.
I think that it needs to be promoted throughout the
year.
A good example would be BRAG (bicycle ride across GA).
There are rides that occur throughout the year that
lead up to the main event. There are other promotional
groups that work to get youth involved, there are
other groups that are dedicated to getting the
handicapped riders involved. These activities build
throughout the year and all culminate at the main
event - its really exciting.
I still love TOSRV and always look forward to it each
year - I think its one of the best rides in the
country.
