Good Afternoon,

Let me introduce or re-introduce myself, I am Kim
Bauer, the Portsmouth Coordinator of the Tour Of the
Scioto River Valley. It is hard to believe it has been
143 days since TOSRV 2007 and only 222 until TOSRV
2008. I'm certainly hoping for the same kind of
weather we had and just as great a turnout. I do have
a bit of good news so please bear with me for the next
few paragraphs.

Since 1961 when the Tour Of the Scioto River Valley
began, the City of Portsmouth and Scioto County have
embraced our riders each year. Many of you forging
decades long relationships with residents' that have
befriended and housed you.

Every year when you first come into Portsmouth the
route takes you past the spectacular Floodwall Murals.
In 1992, Portsmouth Murals Inc. was formed and this
grand project began. Year after year riding past mural
after mural, many thought it would be fitting that
TOSRV should have their own mural. The comments and
wishes did not fall on deaf ears. In August of this
year, would renowned muralist, Mr.Robert Dafford
started on a mural of "The Mighty TOSRV". When you
enter Portsmouth on May 10, 2008 the first thing you
will see after crossing the Scioto River Bridge will
be "Our Mural". The mural depicts the history of TOSRV
through the years.

If you have never seen the murals or would like to
show them to family or friends. please log on to
www.portsmouthmuralproducts.com for a virtual tour of
the 2,000 feet of completed murals.

The Portsmouth Murals Board each year receives many
request for murals. This is an unbelievable honor for
TOSRV to be chosen for a mural.

Let me give you some background information on
Portsmouth Murals Inc. It is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit
organization. All murals are funded by donations from
private citizens, businesses and fundraisers. These
murals are expensive to produce and maintain.

If anyone would like to make a tax-deductible donation
to the Portsmouth Murals Inc. in honor of the Tour Of
the Scioto River Valley mural, what better way to
thank Portsmouth and Portsmouth Murals Inc. for this
wonderful gift.

If you have any questions you can e-mail them in care
of darnett@... or call 740-354-6123.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing you in Tracy
Park for
TOSRV 2008.

Sincerely,
Kim Bauer
TOSRV Portsmouth Coordinator
