The reason that many racers use only the rear wheel
disc is because of "stability" issues when used on the
front wheel (front wheel being caught by a crosswind).
The disc covering the rear wheel has been proven to
reduce wind drag and turbulance of wind in the spokes.
It's all about efficiency and moving thru the wind
most effiecient without the risk of an accident.
