Everyone,

Again this year I will be forming a team for the "Race The Lake"  90+ ride around lake Winnebago.  Individual entry cost is $80, but as a member of the team your cost is only $50.
Its a nice flat ride with 1 hill.  Bank on averaging well over 20 mph.

To form the team, I need to send in a Roster sheet, which I would like to do by July 1st.  After that, you can sign up online, Enter the Team Name as TosaSpokesmen, and you are in.
So please email me if interested in this ride and I'll put you on the roster.

Mark,

I saw yesterday that the 20mph group (Wave 7) was getting close to capacity.  What speed are you looking at doing?  And yes – count me in.

Regards,

20 - 22?   No potty breaks this year

I will be pacing (or drafting) my nephew (College Freshman) for this ride, but we can all pitch in and ride together.
I might try it without a stop.

I think if some of us don’t do the 50 mile Saturday morning ride (and we know who we are) we won’t be hurting so bad at the end.  I’m up for 22 but I’m  up for whatever the group decides.

Brethren:

It's a big night for ride registration!

I've mentioned getting a group together on behalf of the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (Kirsten is Managing Director). With a good group to do the 75-mile route (which is actually 71) it will be a great ride up to Port Washington and back, with a bonus hill on the Hoan Bridge at the start.

The best part is that every Spokesman participating will receive a voucher for 2 *free* tickets to BUS STOP courtesy of Finn Digital. I'd like to see if we can go to the theatre as a "Spokesmen Night" group on April 19 (Thurs) to see BUS STOP, but if that doesn't work out, each person can use the vouchers at any time during the run from April 12-29 (schedule: http://milwaukeechambertheatre.com/performance/2011-2012/bus-stop.aspx).

UPAF Ride for the Arts

Sunday, June 3, 2012
75-mile start at 7:00am
Start location: Summerfest
Route details: http://events.upaf.org/ride/route/

Here is what you need to do, to sign up for the MCT team:

Click on "I am an individual signing up as a member of the team."
Choose Milwaukee Chamber Theatre from the pullodwn menu.
Team password: MCT2012

Free tickets to BUS STOP at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (let me know your show date preference, April 19 or on your own)

For each Spokesman (or friend) who registers, we are offering a voucher for 2 free tickets to BUS STOP (courtesy of Finn Digital)

In this classic romantic comedy from 1955, eight people become stranded overnight in a small-town diner in  Kansas .
Performed at the  Broadway   Theatre   Center ’s Cabot Theatre, 158 N. Broadway,  Milwaukee ’s Historic Third Ward

Many thanks; I look forward to riding and supporting the arts with you!

And any of you that sign up with Chamber Theatre - remember, there *were* two complimentary tickets to see BUS STOP, which just closed over the weekend.

My company is a sponsor of the theatre, and will extend the offer into next season for all that join for the UPAF ride. http://milwaukeechambertheatre.com/performance/next-season.aspx

It will be an easy 75!

Fellow biking enthusiasts and friends, Maybe you can help my daughter with a program she is organizing. Read the following, and see the attachments for more details.  Thank you.

Spring Cleaning - Used Bicycles Needed - DreamBikes Collection

Is your garage and basement like mine, a collection place for bicycles that your family has outgrown?

Sydney has teamed up with an organization, DreamBikes, that has the following Mission:    To make our community better, we provide youth with work experience to open up more job opportunities and to create a difference in people's lives. We provide access to affordable, quality bikes to those in need.  http://dream-bikes.org/

Wauwatosa Now has and article about Sydney and her bike donation program.  Student and organization peddle a charitable idea - WauwatosaNow

Do you have a bicycle your family has outgrown collecting dust and taking up space in your garage.

Bring them Friday May 4th to Wauwatosa West Hight School from 3:30 - 6:30 PM

Help Sydney make a difference in our community.

PS  pass this on within the company you work for or better yet your circle of friends.

Ride on.

Leaving from the Tosa Hollander at 7:15am, to make the 8:00 am departure from the War Memorial, on Sunday if anybody else wants to roll.  $10.00 donation for sag vehicle and $$$ for Bike Fed!

Please note this should only be used for warm-ups before a race. Any use indoors breaks the "rules". If you have any doubts about this, refer to rule 5.
