The Raptors played a solid game tonight, springing to big leads, and
staving off the Pistons' runs. Antonio Davis had a monster game, and
Keon Clark and Alvin Williams played well too, to lead the Raptors.
Jerry Stackhouse, who had thought that the Pistons would sweep and
that he'd be on his boat on Sunday or playing golf, was a non-factor
in this one. Instead, the Pistons will be practising hard for game 4
on Monday.
I think the Raptors showed they can win this series, as long as they
can avoid the collapses that they've had in 3rd quarters. Tonight,
they showed lots of energy coming out of the locker room in the
second half, but let the Pistons back in with a run of 10 unanswered
points. The Raptors were a bit sloppy in the second half, with some
turnovers that could have proved costly. But, thankfully the Raptors
recovered and put the game out of reach.
We've still not seen the Raptors' best game. The best is yet to come!
