The Topeka ScareCrows of the United States Hockey
League (USHL) have announced two changes in the front
office staff.<br><br>The ScareCrows and owner Butch
Johnson promoted Greg Schuh to General Manager of
Business Operations, and have named Matt Perry as
President of the Topeka ScareCrows, effective
immediately.<br><br>As GM of Business Operations, Schuh will handle all
day-to-day business operations for the Crows, including
corporate sales, season ticket sales and
game-operations.<br><br>Schuh, 43, has been with the ScareCrows since July 1998.
Over the past three seasons, Schuh has been Group
Sales Director, Souvenir Merchandise Director, Director
of Ticketing and Assistant General
Manager.<br><br>"I am excited about this opportunity with the Crows,
heading into the second half of our season," Schuh said.
"I look forward to the challenge ahead of us as well
as the new changes we will implement as a staff. I
have accepted this new position knowing we have a
fantastic owner who is committed to hockey in Topeka, and
we have one of the best coaching staffs in the USHL
to bring the fans exciting hockey."<br><br>Schuh
resides in New Strawn, Kansas with his wife Carey and
their three sons.<br><br>As President, Perry will be
actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the
team. The 41-year-old is currently co-owner and
President of National Sports Services in Topeka. He has
been involved with professional sports since 1983.
From 1984-1992, Perry participated in the day-to-day
operation of a professional baseball franchise. He served
as Assistant GM of the Midland (TX) Angels
(1985-1987), and GM of the Columbia (SC) Mets (1987-1988) and
Fayetteville Generals (1989-1992). In 1993, Perry founded
Sports Enterprises, Inc., a company that provided
brokering and consulting services to the sports
industry.<br><br>From 1997-2000, Perry was Vice-President of Flying
Puck, LLC, which owned the Bakersfield Condors. He was
also Vice-President of Flying Cross Check, LLC, which
owned the ScareCrows from 1998-2000.<br><br>Perry, his
wife Kelly and three children reside in Topeka,
Kansas.
